  • About the Position

    We are looking for a full-time Intermediate Software Developer with at least 5 years of experience to help design, develop and manage all in-house software and web-based solutions/apps, processes and database integration systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking, passionate, self-starting individual with experience.

    Location

    This is a remote position. Applicants from all parts of Canada are encouraged to apply; however, since most staff are based in Ontario, we’d prefer EST.

    Responsibilities:

    • Participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle – including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment and support
    • Develop and maintain high-quality web and mobile applications
    • Working in a team to develop software solutions, perform efficiently and as designed
    • Understand, inspect and analyze requirements before implementation
    • Identify and communicate problems, risks, or issues with peers and manager
    • Resolve and troubleshoot problems and issues
    • Document implementation details
    • Study existing codebase and design patterns in place for writing the similar code
    • Follow development process, coding standards, programming guides and best practices

    Key Specialties:

    • Must be passionate about software development, current industry trends and best practices.
    • At least 5 years of web development experience.
    • Experience in full life cycle development of web and/or mobile applications
    • Experience in Object-oriented programming
    • Experience creating C#.NET custom controls, user controls and web user interfaces
    • Experience with various web programming languages (i.e. C#, ASP.NET MVC, jQuery, HTML5, CSS, XSL, XSLT, JavaScript)
    • Experience developing with SQL databases
    • Experience with Web and JavaScript testing tools
    • Ability to learn and develop Native Mobile apps (Android and/or iOS)
    • Knowledgeable of Web technologies such as Angular 2 / 4, REST API, HTML, CSS, Sass, TypeScript and JSON
    • A passion for code quality and adherence to standards
    • Experience working with a version control system, especially Visual Studio

  • About the Position

    We’re looking for a results-driven technical Sales Executive to actively seek out and engage new tradeshows, conference and consumer show customer prospects within the US and Canada. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building relationships in the event industry selling technical services and will be able to demonstrate a successful career in sales and/or business development. The position’s primary function will be new client acquisition, leading to increased company revenue. The candidate will be responsible for developing a robust pipeline and will be required to present, promote and sell products/services that fit the needs of existing and prospective customers. The establishment, development, and maintenance of positive business and customer relationships are essential for the role.

    Responsibilities

    • Present, promote and sell products/services to existing and prospective clients using proven and demonstrable sales methodologies
    • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
    • Identify and develop new clients by prospecting, networking, cold calling, and referrals
    • Develop and maintain a quality pipeline of prospects and ensure a continuous population of immediate and long-term opportunities
    • Up to 25% travel within North America to engage with prospective and existing clients as well as to present the company in conferences and tradeshows
    • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations to prospective clients
    • Maintain company CRM, entering all relevant activity and information on a regular basis, including new prospecting and sales opportunities. Must keep sales forecasting data and customer information accurate/current
    • Provide weekly and monthly reports of your activities
    • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
    • Reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
    • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
    • Continuously improve through feedback

    • Ability to build productive business professional relationships
    • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs
    • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
    • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
    • Great prioritization, time management, and organizational skills
    • Proven work experience as a sales representative
    • Comfortable discussing software, networking, and cloud technologies with tech-savvy clients
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
    • Familiarity with CRM practices and utilization

    Desired Experience

    • 3-5 years of experience in a sales and/or business development role
    • Sale experience in the event industry
    • Past experience in software and or IT fields
